Winter's Night

by Angie   Feb 24, 2007

Winter's Night

outside our cottage window
from clouds both dark and gray
the landscape is slowly covered in white
as the snow fairies flitter and play

safely tucked away inside
on a blanket of silver lace
my lover and I are snuggled
in front of the fireplace

sipping hot chocolate
nibbling on pop tarts
blueberry flavored kisses
love and passion in our hearts

this dream is more than fleeting
such love dwells in this place
of cottage and snow fairies
of pop tarts and silver lace

I like it very much. Atmosphere is superbly created and imagery is amazing. You described emotions excellently. Metaphors are great too. 5/5

This makes me think of beautiful country paintings and an idyllic existence of lovers inside while outside the landscape reflects the romance, contentment and beauty within.
