What happened to the girl she used to be

by Curry   Feb 24, 2007

She used to be a singer,
She'd sing everyday.
She used to be a dancer,
She'd dance the nights away.
In school, she was the good girl,
She was a hero to the world.
If you were upset, she was the one to cheer you up,
She swore she'd never touch a drug.
Now she cuts herself every night,
At school, shes always getting in fights.
When she is in pain, she just goes and gets high,
The only thing she does anymore is cry,
Everyone wonders why.
Why did this good girl turn so bad,
Whats the reason for such a happy girl to be so sad.
Who did this to her,
Nobody was sure.
Sometimes she even wonders,
Whats happened to me,
Wheres the perfect girl I used to be.
Nobody knows what turned her this way,
But they all hope she'll go back to being herself one day.

    I really loved the beggining,

"She used to be a dancer,
    She'd dance the night away"

This was a great poem, such a powerful message you wrote into it. Everything seems so...horrible...it seems to me...that life just gets harder no.
