Two Paragons

by thexshattered   Feb 25, 2007

Moonlight splashes
On a bed inlaid
With tragic roses
On display.

A dark child sings
A song of lament,
The blackest of songs
Embracing sorrow’s scent.

They wrapped her in flames
That burned her with love
A charred adoration
Leaving her stunned.

Fervent white kisses
Wrapped her in light,
Leaving a pristine child
Out in the night.

A smile glints down
From a sliver of predawn,
Illuminates three—
Child and two paragons.
