Memories Of You

by BECCA lessTHANthree   Feb 25, 2007

They come so unexpected
Never knowing when they'll hit
Pulling me from consciousness
Piece by piece and bit by bit

Trickling down, these tears of mine
Pouring out my strife
Shocking, striking, lightning bolts
A sharp and piercing knife

Dodging bullets through my heart
This world is out of reach
My feet in puddles, bandaged heart
My life's now theirs to keep

Trapped by them and lost in them
A room without a door
No way out, there's no escape
Each time's worse than before

Erasing laughs and leaving voids
They come and suck life out of me
Excruciating; all the pain
I'm giving in so desperately

I'm so controlled by their arrival
I am slowly slipping through
Giving into teary eyes
And all my memories of you

Dear this is a good poem. Iliked the word chooice and your descriptions. still there is room for improvement like making it more rhyming, yeah you have managed to keep the rhymes to some extent. Keep up the good work. Tc
