A world betrayed

by EoB   Feb 25, 2007

For this did come our saviour
this myriad of sins.
We've lost the path that leads to
the end where mankind wins.

Across the vast Atlantic
from shore to lifeless shore
we found, enslaved and murdered
the hope that is no more.

And now we stand and witness
a world that we betrayed,
a vast uproar against us.
The prize we never paid.

    Shouldn't this:

    ^The prize^
    read "the price"?

The flow and imagery in this piece are great. Once again a very thought provoking and powerful write. Great job!

"We've lost the path that leads to
    the end where mankind wins."

A very powerful piece. Well written/worded, nice flow and rhyme scheme. There is a sobering message here for us all.
