Windows

by Breeanna Heflin   Feb 25, 2007

A young heart begins to tare
Nobody even attempts to care
While she hides into the night
Thinking of the sight

Of a person holding her close
But then she knows
Her life is like a dying rose
So she comes home every day after school
Thinking that she is just a fool

So then she awaits for someone to be there by her side
So she doesn't always have to hide
After a while she wonders ... "Who could that be?"
Then it hits her.... It's nobody...

So she hides away again in her shadows
Looking out the window
Day-by-Day she awaits for the person who will bring her the light
The smiles and the sight

Not just the sadness and the fright
She just wants the light
To be there by her side
So she won't have to hide

In the shadows of the winds as they blow
While she awaits for the person headed to toward her window
