What Changed

by jessica   Feb 26, 2007

I pass you in the halls
Trying not to lock eyes.
My gaze is at the ground today,
As it is every other day.
We used to be friends,
Tell each other everything.
Now we pass each other
And force a smile.
What changed?
The world is moving
And we are growing.
The world is changing,
Without us knowing.
I pass you in the kitchen
And lock eyes with the ground.
You ask a question
And I mumble back.
We used to be a family
Live in a house full of love.
Now we barely see each other,
What changed?
The world is moving
And we are growing.
The world is changing,
Without us knowing.
I call you on the phone,
You press ignore.
This has happened
Time and time before.
We used to be siblings,
And do everything together.
You moved away
And lost contact.
What changed?
The world is moving
And we are growing.
The world is changing,
Without us knowing
