Thy Sweet Perfection

by Italian Stallion   Feb 26, 2007

Upon this giveth day I seek out to thy smile
And try to resemble the softness of thy face.
Not but a single wink upon thine eye,
To let thou know that tis I looking upon thou.

Thy smile is so soft and pure
Just like thy love for others
Thy heart is in the right place
And thou art as well, take my hand

And follow me through the woods
Where thy house lays upon the lake
Hold me close while thou smile softly
Giveth me a kiss and make sweet bitter love

Before thou leave me to sit and ponder
About myself and thou in this relationship
Hold me close just once more
And let me lay my lips upon thy

Let me smell thy sweet perfection
Just one more time, before thou leave
Tell me thou love me
Or Tell me not

Just give me a sign
So I know this love is real
That thy love for me
Will last and never fade away

Hmm...it was ok. Honestly I had to keep stopping and starting as the flow dipped in places, it may have been the old English that distracted me.
So apart from the creative use of old English the wording was pretty ordinary really, not many intense or detailed descriptions.
Ok so it was sweet, and a genuine love poem, indeed. And if a blanket of old romantic language is what you want this is the poem. But it didn't quite do it for me, sorry.
