There are so many words
I've been keeping to myself.
Some I just cannot speak,
because I'm afraid of their effect.
Others you won't want to hear
because I can hate you so much.
And these thoughts have been
burying deeper in my heart
creating empty spaces
that remind me of you.
And when my chest hurts
because I want you most,
I just want to release
everything thats inside of me.
There's just no escaping
my biggest regret, but
I don't think I can bring myself
past my strongest desire to
be held safely in your arms again.
