6-0

by Savannah   Feb 26, 2007

You said that you are 6-0, well you could have been 6-1.
You didn't give a girl a chance before you turned her down.
"I'm waiting for someone," you say like a prize.
Like you are so happy to be used and thrown away.
You say you are waiting for "her," waiting for "her" to want too share her love with you, to want to be with you, to want your love.
That girl that you turned down loved you even when you didn't want her love.
She would have done anything to be with you.
To hold your hand, to kiss your sweet lips, to have your love was one of the few dreams she had left in this world.
All she wanted was you and nothing more.
You could have made her a better person, the kind she always wanted to be.
Instead she lowers her standards to have someone heal the wounds you left on her by your words.
She still dreams of the day when you might be able to love a girl so imperfect with so many scars.
She wanted to be with you so maybe she could finally have someone who might not break her heart like all the others.
She though you were different, she wanted to believe it so bad.
It was a lie.
She knew you weren't anything to special or that you weren't perfect.
That not everyday was your best and that sometimes you get upset.
That you get depressed, but she wanted to be there and to comfort you when you were sad, to listen to you whenever you needed her to, to rub your shoulders when you had a hard day.
She didn't ask for the world, jewels, or money.
She didn't even ask for you to tell her that you loved her, she just wanted to be with you; to hold your hand, to kiss your sweet lips, and to maybe, one day, have the love of a good and honest man that wouldn't break her heart.
