Love, Infatuation

by Erin   Feb 27, 2007

Love, Infatuation,
completely different from depression.
Yet i feel hallow when I'm around you,
you always get me in the blue.
To me you seem like Venus
but I'm no genus.
I feel sorrow knowing that i cant be with you.
Love that i never knew that could be true.
Love, Infatuation,
to me its depression.
I feel numb aware that you aren't mine.
Your vision makes shivers go up my spine.
Why did it have to end?
I'm unnoticed, no longer your friend.
Those lips i truly miss.
I demand a kiss.
For this is the finish.
I'm now diminished.
Love, Infatuation.
Is depression.

Wow! I wish I could write like you when I was thirteen (which was only two years ago-but they were nothing close to what you are writing!) Only a few things: in the 6th line, you spelled "Genius" wrong, but that's really little. Also the poem's rhyme started to loose steam towards the end. Some of the rhymes in the beginning were really clever, but then they got a little predictable. Such as "Miss" and "kiss". But again, that's also very fixable, and other than that it was great.
