The Perfect Beginning

by Dakota Nessmith   Feb 27, 2007

My day is beginning
it's early in the morn'
the sun is coming up
a new day is being born.

I'll walk into the kitchen
to make something warm to drink
I'll start towards the table
and feel that it's too early to even think.

I've only been up for ten minutes
it feels like an eternity
but when I see you walk in the room
I know it's the way I want it to be.

As I gaze out the window
It looks like a heavenly bliss
but what happens next is more splendid,
I get a "good morning, darlin" and a loving kiss.

For that one second
everything in the world seems right
what we have is perfect
even in God's sight.

I'll thank Him for you
again and again
Now this is how I want everyday to be
I want it to start out with you kissing me.
