Holding on

I'm still holding on
To something that was never really there
Something that I thought true
Turns out all it was, was a lie
You never really loved me
I don't think you really cared
You let go so fast
I held on for so long
It felt like I would never let go
My mind said whatever
But my heart wont give up
I have to stop holding on
To someone who isn't there.
