A fine line

by SweetDreamz   Feb 27, 2007

It leaves you drained as it consumes the heart.
It lifts you high just to tear you apart.
It torments your soul, shadowing always your mind,
Blurrs you perception, unruly and unkind.
Something none can escape but all wish to find.
It hits you when least expected, refusing to explain why.
Relentless and unremitting, can cause the strongest to break and cry.
Unrequited is contant agony.
Returned is pure bliss.
Afraid to step into the unknown, some refuse to return the kiss.
It is the envy of every human, the ecstasy that is true love.
But where will it leave you?
As a curse from below...or a gift from above?
