I was going to rate this a four, but something made me rate it a five, but I'm not sure what. I couldn't really find a favorite stanza but I think my favorite rhyme was the first one. I think the use of the count of Monte Cristo nudged it a little. Anyway, I liked this poem. It was dark and was superbly written. Also it wasn't too long. I'm a big fan of short poems, so it was great for me. Anyway, I'm off, but I look forward to reading more of your work. I'm rather intrigued by you. You seem to have more talent than most on this site. So I'll be watching, lol.
