How were you ever able to see me through everything I was hiding behind?

How were you ever able to look beyond my past?

How were you ever able to look into my eyes without crying from all the pain that was there?

How was it that you managed to make me smile, even though I was crumbling inside?

Slowly, you took my pain away.
Slowly, you made me want to stay.

I had fallen in love with you, and I was surprised when I realized that you were already ready to catch me.

I don't know if you knew
but you saved me from myself.
...you saved me from my already broken heart...

And you should already know
-that I love you more than anything.
