Midnight Shadows

by Corey   Feb 28, 2007

Have mercy on my parted soul
Where restless graves I stay
And shadow's songs that play between
The world in which we lay

Those shadows sit upon my head
And tear my flesh apart
And surely this they do to you
As we see the breaking of each heart

These shadows of this broken past
With memories painted gray
With light and darkness intertwined
Where daggers come to play

And those glances surely stolen
Behind the vision of the world
That tell the self within our self
How we long for sails unfurled

Yet the shadows still remain
Our sins are we can't condone
And beauty we once held
Shall forever remain alone

    1. Get rid of the symbol things in your poem I don't know why it does that but just to let you know that it's there I thought the poem overall was good nice work
