Cast Such A Thin Shadow

Casting Such A Thin Shadow.

It's not a feeling you feel within.
Nor, is it something you show amongst
those who've not torn you to shreds.
But, it's something within yourself; hidden.

For, there are no nightmares.
Nor, tearful and painful nights.
No brokenhearts or sliced wrists..
No faded dreams or needed cares.

Just emptiness filling your cold, dark heart.
No friends to help, or family to lean on.
No one to chase, or to love.
No frigtened gestures to tear you apart.

There's a piece wanting out,
And a piece wanting in.
Yet, frozen in place; lost.
Waiting for you to figure it out.

For the lies build up within,
upon the pile of all the truth.
That causes your body to
grow a lot larger than thin.

Your heart grows weaker,
and your mind grows darker.
Your life grows colder and
your body a pleasure seeker.

As your world fades out the window,
and your dreams start to disappear.
Your life shatters before you, as your
casting such a thin shadow.

Hey, your favorite person haha. Good poem if sad. I think i have often felt much the same as what your poem conveyed...my advice for improvement...show the reader what you feel, dont just tell them. Still...good poem
