She`s in a faintly dim room,
The blinds are closed tightly,
And shadows of figures,
Are hidden.
She looks into a mirror,
And sees her reflection,
She sees all her secrets shes kept,
And a long winding road she's walked.
She`s swimming in the lies,
And she`s climbing a ladder to heartbreak,
She`s imagining herself with drugs in her hands,
And she`s calling for you to not leave.
She made a mistake,
But you cannot believe,
That she can change,
That she can love you again.
Laying at the bedside of a motel,
She traveled miles to find you,
She`s about to break,
She`s about to give up.
She finds a piece of paper,
With tears running down her face,
She starts to write,
Everything inside her mind.
"In this coffin I lay,
With drugs in my system,
I`ll still pray,
That maybe you'll forgive me.
I'm not a perfect person,
The places I've been have always shamed people,
I really did love you,
But made a big mistake.
Everyone in this world has made a mistake,
I made mine but what really killed me inside,
Was how I tried to tell you I was sorry,
But you just walked away like everyone else."
Days later she was on the news,
You were sitting in a bar,
When you saw her face and the words,
"She was found dead in a deserted motel".
They say it was a suicide,
So you travel to that deserted motel,
You find a tearstained piece of paper,
Written just for you.
