Fallen Angel Part II

Blackened sun in empty night
Cast prism moons through broken eyes
Tears that well but never fall
Keep weeping wishes close to call

On bated breath a vision speaks
The Mystic's light his Angel keeps
A cruel caress of anguished cries
For in her soul the Mystic lies

On dismal lake no ripples break
The Mystic prays his soul to take
Abysmal loss his quest does burn
The Angel speaks at every turn:

"Close your eyes, inhale my thoughts
Quench my desire, no count the cost
One beat alone, a dream of two
Through blackest night, the light of you"

Across the sea the Angel longs
To hold her Mystic in her arms
The frozen trail of blood stained snow
Was drifted over long ago

With softest breath the Mystic sighs
His straightest path has lost align
Desiring what can never be
Surrendering loss to destiny:

"Exhale my longing take my all
Your patterns dance as moonlight falls
Fate's fickle hand has had her way
My Angel come to me I pray"

Prayers unanswered heaven weeps
As pouring drops the sadness seeps
The Mystic wanders lost once more
To search another distant shore

And all that's left as tide recedes
The new dawn's promise night concedes
As fallen Angel lonely stands
To follow foot trails in the sand
