Romeo

by Bhavin   Apr 7, 2004

How would you feel
when you hear me say
The story about Romeo
who dies everyday.

Unlike the real Romeo
Who was a bravesoldier
He is a common sculptor
Making statues from a boulder.

Unlike the real juliet
Who was a charming princess
She is the smiling statue
Of his dead lover standing lifeless.

She is dead as a morgue
Yet smiling as if alive
She is dead for the world
But for him she is alive.

People passing by the road
Laugh on seeing the statue
But no one ever notices
On her face is shining virtue.

Sometimes he gets shocked
By watching the nightmare again
The nightmare of her death
Almost drives him insane.

He is dead every night
But wakes up in the morning
His face is found to be smiling
But his heart is still mourning.
