Quiet Snowflake

by XSugarSexSuicideX   Mar 1, 2007

A single quiet snowflake falls,
The sun shines in the sky so clear,
The sidewalks begin to dry,
And everyone believes that spring is here.
A single quiet snowflake falls,
Followed by a ghastly amount,
The wind blows, a storm begins to rage,
As a blizzard blows snow to the ground.
A single quiet snowflake falls,
The calm is torn apart, shredded,
As winter rears its ugly head,
It comes, its wrath so dreaded.
A single quiet snowflake falls,
All hopes of springtime fade away,
Looking out into the dreary gray sky,
Waiting for the sun to come out again.
