Better Off Without You

by Daz Mellow   Mar 2, 2007

Look at me now,
And I'm looking you.
Well, what'd you expect me to do?
When you're staring me down.
Trying to make me flinch,
But I'm not moving an inch.
See, yesterday you were calling me baby.
Now you're sitting there telling me maybe.
Don't expect me to,
Run after you,
Begging you to come back,
I know I'm better than that.
You wont get me down,
Yeah, I wont let you,
Keep me on the ground.
I wont shed a tear,
Just cause you're gone,
Doesn't mean I should show any fear.
And if you cant figure it out just for yourself,
I will.

It took me sometime to realize,
That I could fly if I wanted to,
But the only thing dragging me down,
Was the one I trusted with all my heart,
But you didn't tear me apart,
Because now, I'm better off without you.

I melted like candle wax,
every time you put your arms around me.
But now baby, I realize.
I was young and naive,
You took advantage,
Thought that I was so weak,
Don't need a bandage, but
Could you please hear me when I say,
All the things you've put me through,
Didn't leave me scarred,
Though it left its marks,
But now I know,
I'm better without you.

I really like it, I agree I know what you mean completely, boys are such jerks. most of them. Well you could fix up the grammar and use the commas and full stops in the right places...
    other wise it rocks
I am glad that you learnt your better without him.
