What it feels like to lose yourself...

by Shauni   Mar 2, 2007

Slowly the light begins to fade,
away, away, left in the dark,
In the comfort of the shade,
Light flickers, but only a spark.

A spark that seems so distant,
Hands reach out into black atmosphere,
Reaching for something nonexistent,
An illusion now becoming unclear.

Green eyes become desperate,
Craving the hues of earth,
suicidal thoughts slip a threat,
and what would it be worth?

Playing life as a complete fake,
She holds many questions inside,
In darkness she will wake,
To herself she has lied.
