Roller coaster

by cindy Maahs   Mar 2, 2007

Sometimes I wish I could control,
just how I feel inside,
so I was not so sensitive
to people taking my heart for a ride.

To ride the roller coaster sounds like fun,
but think twice about this case.
Your love goes all the way to the top,
just to quickly drop back down to the base.

It does this just a couple times more,
and every time your rising,
your hope goes up just to find yourself,
yet hurt again by the surprising.

And in the end the ride is over;
Your at the lowest place.
Your heart is empty and torn apart;
You're trying to hide your face.

So be aware and protect your heart,
Give it only to the one who does care.
So that you can live your life,
endlessly happy without despair.
