You Just Don't Know

by Iola   Mar 2, 2007

I don't think you two will ever know,
How you've scarred me and healed me that time.
What you've done and what I've shown,
Was just the beginning of a life-long crime.

Forgiveness came sudden and I even forgot,
But betrayal has a way of its own.
I thought it was over but I've realized it's not,
The worst was to come once I've grown ...

Now she's getting married and he's so secure,
It's over and we've all moved on.
An example of a family with finesse and couture,
No more worries or words - all is done.

But sometimes I wake and my scars start to bleed,
And no amount of cotton can fix it up.
There is no cure for the ultimate deceit,
Is it possible to make memories stop?

    I have to say.
    I love this poem.
    Specially this part
"Is it possible to make memories stop?"
I want some of my memories
    To stop as well
    It's great to have someone
    Writing something about it.
    I applaud you.
