Satan's Deal

by ben thompson   Mar 2, 2007

Tingling in my fingers as the softening light goes.
I feel heat in the darkness, hungry eyes all a-glow.

I knew they'd finally catch me, my sins have come to call.
In Satan's lair I now reside, my time has come to fall.

Not sure which was worse the rumbling or the laughter.
Spinning on my heels, I'm running, the hordes not far after.

There will be no hiding they can see me with their hearts.
I'm lost forever with my blackened soul so I must depart.

I reach the end, I see the fiery lake below my feet.
Given my two choices, I make a hopeless leap.

I try to push out thoughts of choices I have made.
Now I know a deals a deal every bill must be paid.
