From Within the Soul

by HungatMidnight   Mar 3, 2007

I have the face of a vampire,
Perfect with its flaws,
The eyes of the night,
Never resting just to pause.

The wings of an angel,
Broken from an endless fall,
The heart of a soldier,
In a battle standing tall.

The mind of an artist,
Complicated and confused,
Soul of a damned sinner,
Sad, hurt, and abused.

Gentle as a butterfly,
But solid as a rock,
Unpredictable as the weather,
But faithful as a clock.

Beauty lies within us,
Each and everyone,
We are built from pieces of each other,
And our journeys have just begun.
