They Keep Falling

by ihaveasadheart   Mar 4, 2007

They fall one by one,
hitting her harder and harder.
She waits for the day
when maybe they'll realize,
it doesn't have to be like this,
it doesn't have to be this hard.
She wants to scream.
She wants them to hear,
But every time she raises her voice,
She's shot back down by another,
that hits her harder than the last.
She's fighting as she falls
back to where she's been before.
The memories more haunting than before,
Return, clouding her thoughts,
The tears come flooding back,
She can't stop them.
She's running out of courage,
Her confidence is gone,
She see's the others fall,
She has to be strong.
They keep falling,
Each hitting her harder than the last,
She's doubting her strength,
She doesn't know how many more she can take.
