I cherish every moment as best as I can.
A simple kiss on the cheek meant a lot.
That moment lies right behind the night
you held me so close I honestly thought
you would never let me go.
I can also remember falling asleep
right next to you, and it felt so right.
Everything's perfect with you just smiling
while pushing the hair out of my face.
Then every once and a while
you surprise me with such spontaneity
that always amazes me.
All these moment just trick me day after day
that you can't possibly feel nothing,
although you can hide it quite well.
I just like to pretend this was your plan
because I've never felt so close to a person
by actually being this far away.
Maybe one day it won't be all pretend
and you'll actually tell me how you feel.
Until then I can only dream
and appreciate every memory I can.
