He left again slamming the door behind him begging him to stay my mom lying on the cold kitchen floor beaten and bruised I run to he aid I sit next to her trying to comfort her mom we can leave this time he won't be able to find us how many times have I told you you can't run from your problems why not? you need a father figure us staying will help you in the long run you know he's a good man she says ya not when he's drunk witch is most of the time still trying to defend him she makes excusses to make what he did so many times seem okay I walk away knowing that nothing will ever change
