Bleeding sun

by xLaurax   Mar 4, 2007

Is there darkness in your heart
When you look at the bleeding sun
Would you think inside your head
That a war needs to be won

No one ever wants to fight
But both sides want to win
And more innocence is going to die
No matter what could have been

Is there hope anywhere
In the colorful, bleeding sky?
It's strong enough to beat you down
Enough to make anyone cry

There's pain in your chest
And there's fault in your stride
We need this war to be won
But all the soldiers have died

In the whisper of the breeze
Can you ever find relief
In the shadows of the dead
In the middle of the grief

In the summer's coldest air
There's nothing you can feel
All the soldiers came and died
And now you'll never heal

It's hard to tell the tale
Underneath the bleeding sun
You look around and all you think
Is that a battle needs to be won

Not my best work, but I thought it was ok. It's kind of about death, about losing someone, but I don't really know. You know how it is.
