Dark Unicorn

by Isabelle   Mar 4, 2007

Its white fur against the black of the night,
full moon set high in the sky,
its red eyes glaring back at me from in middle of the forest.
I see it eat the carcass of a deer.

A sick feeling hits me,
as blood drips from it's mouth onto the grass.

It's so beautiful,
yet so ugly.

The fear was overwhelming.
It raised it's head,
dug it's hooves into the dirt,
and charged toward me.

I thought I would feel it tear me apart,
but I felt not a thing.

Luckily, it was only a dream...or was it?
