Trading Places

by No one feels as I do   Mar 5, 2007

To see you walk away,
And grab her by the hand,
To see how happy she is,
When you draw her name in the sand.

To look into your eyes,
And see the loves still there,
But you'll never leave her,
And for her, you really care.

I was in her place once,
And now I have to see,
Back to the moment,
She traded places with me.

I am not her,
And she's not me,
But I'm in the position,
She used to be.

Now she's your world,
And I'm just a face,
I'd never thought it happen,
But she took my place.

Now I'm in her shoes,
and no one is here,
To comfort me,
And I'm drowning in my tears.

So while you're happy,
Think of my face,
While she smirks her way in,
Into my old place.
