Cross your bridge

We all have a bridge that we must cross
filled with love, friendship, and loss

to stay on this side would be the same lifestyle
but to cross to the other side, the extra mile

gilded with gold, or a rusted iron portal
everyone's bridge shows he's mortal

many dangers await on that far side
but crossing could turn life's tide

the choice is yours, to you the pathway is shown
in my opinion, crossing the bridge means you've grown
