Flipping on an old country tune
Not something I'd usually listen to
But it reminds me of you
And the things we use to do

Remember the time you threw me in the air
I was never scared
Because I knew you'd protect me
Just because you cared

I loved when you said my name
It made me smile bright and big
I always felt like
I was the greatest kid

That's what you always told me
When I'd get sad and gloomy
You'd hold me tight and close
Because you loved me

I miss you everyday
And I wish you were still here to hold me tight
Now I don't have anyone
To tell me "Kaila... it'll be alright...."

    Nice work!! although sad it is more dreamy in the sense that your missing that one person that knew how to make you happy, i know exactly how that feels =( i love poems with deep meaning! what i really liked about this one was that you could read it quickly or slow and still understand it completely! thats definatly a good write! keep up the excellent work! =D 5/5
