My dear little girl your still so young
with your whole life still ahead of you yet.
Take your time and enjoy being young
it only happens once.

Please don't try to grow up to fast
it will happen soon enough
enjoy the carefree wonders of youth
and learning how it feels to live.

You have so much ahead of you
and so many things to learn
but don't try to take on the world just yet
sit back and just let it come.

I've watched you grow up with wonderful pride
you amaze me with each new day.
Your smart and beautiful, funny and caring
and sweetie, your going to go far.

But sweetie, don't try to grow up to fast
just go outside and play.
