Rescued

by Twisted Heart   Mar 5, 2007

From the limpid pools of teardrops
In your eyes I found release
You pulled me from the wreckage
Of a heart that lost its beat.

The soul was found in darkness
But with faith, you reached inside
You took a hold of all the pain
And soothed it over time.

Not asking for the many things
That most, in course, would ask
You sheltered me from all the hurt
Like it was your only task.

You always gave me comfort
Even when I screamed at you
You'd smile and say you loved me
And that love's what pulled me through.

From the soul that lost direction
You are the compass in my life
To steer me with reflections
And set my heart to rights.

I could travel many lands to seek
Someone that's strong and true
But why must I look far and wide
When I've found it all in you.

Amazing again. I feel like I should offer suggestions, but there are none. I merely comment to let you know your work is appreciated and read!
