Unaware of our glances.

by Annabel   Mar 5, 2007

She entered the room.
Stock still,
In silence, awaiting her turn.
She moved to the corner
And occupied herself doing nothing.

He entered.
Running like a child,
Set free,
For the first time.
He ran up to her
And for the first time she smiled.
So bittersweet,
And so full of love.
He smiled back,
His eyes truly alive,
Completely unaware we were watching,
They continued
In animated conversation.

Finally, he left,
And we could breather a sigh of relief.
She too sighed,
But it was in blissful content.

Our eyes darkened,
For she has ruined many a life.
How many more before she's finally finished?

Okay .. we were in the lunch hall at school .. there's two teachers who've split up cos the man had an affair with the drama receptionist. The drama receptionist is first to enter .. then our crazy music teacher, the man that is.. and all the time me and my friends are watching from the other side of the hall. This is a faithful narrative of what we saw tbh..
