To A Dark Lord - May He Ever Love Another

by Naerwen   Mar 5, 2007

A Lord now no longer,
Spring Lamb of Gia's sigh,

Does he remember,
One scapegoat of the flock,
That wandered blind into the lust,
Of one wolf - that does share lord's birth name,
To that the silenced lamb,
Now ever to the mercy

Per tell - a tale once this lamb,
Was to young to hear - to far to know,
What lay behind the broken eyes,
Pleading to be of service - My Lord,
What was once now done,
Can never be your task to undo

An innocent Shepard one cannot be,
A white lamb, i never was,
My fleece of dirt be stained with red,
Taken - for the deeds against a will,
But one day i caught a glance,
Of a humble squire to the darkness,
Upon a table he sat - slouched and in thought,
One glance, the strings of a heart were pulled,
But who, is this sir i did spy,
And where does he resign

Consumed in a darker place,
To fully appreciate the company,
Of one soul - who could of saved another,
But now, not too late -
But never to be, was the union,
Of one souless bride and a sorrowful sir

To then watch a love blossom,
A time an envy - one touch, colder still,
One share of happiness - a tinge of green,
One embrace in front of shadow girl - strife have me,
But in time, that heart ache never faded,
Behind that empty smile, she declared,
A toast - for the happy couple.

Loneliness, is one partner to stay true,
To never wonder and find else where,
Embrace this lover within the ache,
And soon, i shall be cured

Naerwen,
Elven for the Sad Maiden,
And she indeed lives in woe,
But to no cause of what she has witnessed,
A company that could of been her own,
Though now aware - her past,
Made this lonely fate so,
To instead gaze in aw at what breeds,
A man - so true and in love,
Sad Maiden of the Ocean,
Shall watch from an ever gaping distance,
To return to her shadows and curse,
One last glance at what was possible -
And then gone.
