Life Isn't About Ponies and Ballet

by Kelsey Marie   Mar 5, 2007

You try and make me
Something I'm not
Calling me stupid names
Trying to turn my
Friends against me
Rubing lemon in open cuts.

Well let me tell you something
Doll face
You're not so perfect either
You make mistakes
And fall sometimes.

You hurt innocent people
That have done nothing to you
You talk about people
Behind their backs
And expect them not to
Find out
Maybe you haven't noticed
But you have a really big
Mouth
Stuff gets around.

You call us childish names
Expecting them to hurt
But let me let you in
On reality
Those names will get you
Nowhere in the real world
People will laugh at you
Then you'll know how it feels.

These things you do to me
The names you call me
Do nothing but make me laugh
Till I'm on the floor
Trying to recollect myself
So I can try not to look
As stupid as you.

And you know why I'm
Not bothered by your
Elementry behavior
Because you knew nothing
About me
You didn't like me because
You thought my
Hair and make-up was ugly
You don't learn anything about
A person from what's
On the outside
You have to look
Deep down
And you didn't

So call me names
Laugh at me
I don't care about you
Or your little friends
One day they won't be there
And you'll be stuck to defend
Yourself.

Life isn't about
Ponies and ballet.
