A love that lasts forever

by LoveYou   Mar 5, 2007

What we thought was a short fling
Soon turned into something more
Perfect example of
Too much too soon
But youre still the only one that makes my heart race
Makes my face go flush red
And still gives me those same butterflies

We hide away from the pain and danger of the world
And tell each other that nothing could harm us
Just as long as were together, lying in your embrace

Well go on through our lives everyday
Just as if nothing is wrong
Though deep inside something will be missing
Exchanging guilty glances of regret
Ones that only the two of us could understand

One day well wake up and think what if faith sent us the wrong way
Wonder if we made a huge mistake
Only time will tell
But that day will be much too late
Maybe well sit on that bench for the rest of our lives
Waiting for one another to speak the truth
Although we know exactly what it is

Every goodbye seemed it was our last
However it was soon followed by another hello
Time has passed and were finding ourselves right where we left off
But the memory of those nights will always stay with us
Telling you I need you, telling me you love me
Well waste away our lives, wishing and praying
One day itll all pay off
The moving nights, the endless tears, and the love thatll grow forever
