How I Love the Noise

by Coeur Cassa Sage   Mar 6, 2007

My brother to my right is driving a car.
My sister to my left is playing dolls.
My dog behind me is barking up a storm.
My cat in my lap is meowing me to insanity.
My mother is nagging for my to do my chores.
My father is yelling for my to practice my sports.
My other sister wants me to hold her.
All while I'm doing my homework.
At school I enjoy the peace.
Then I slowly ache for a tap of a pencil.
My heart is racing for a sneeze or cough.
Even for the teacher to lecture us.
Finally a noise.
The bell.
I race home to my family.
Once I enter the noise begins.
I know the noise.
I feel at ease with the noise.
Oh how I love the noise.
