This Freak

by becca   Mar 6, 2007

Alone in her bedroom,
She sits on the floor,
Where she's uninterupted,
With the lock on the door.
Alone in her hurting,
Alone in her pain,
As their torturing words,
Haunt her thoughts once again.
Their constant sneering,
The words that they speak,
That name her a loony,
An outcast, a freak.
But this freak is a person,
This freak's got a heart,
This freak's got a soul,
That you're tearing apart.
This freak's got two wrists,
You've stained crimson red,
This freak's been scarred deep,
By those things that you said.
So alone in her bedroom,
She sits on the floor,
With the razor in one hand,
And the lock on door.
Driven to madness,
Feeling broken and numb,
This freak couldn't take it,
Now look what you've done.

    Terribly sad.
The emotion was pouring through and this poem hit me hard. The word "freak" in my mind seems so evil....probably because I hear it often. Anyway, wonderful poem. 5/5 Keep writing.
