That caring teacher

There is so much I could tell you so many things that i could say
But all the things you have done for me that would take all day

You have a way of knowing when something is not right
You open up your heart and put your problems out of sight

You made me open up my heart and let my feelings out
I would trust you over everyone without a single doubt

You were the caring teacher that I knew that I could call
You were there to hold me up when i thought that i would fall

You never told me what i wanted to hear but always what was true
You told me that was life and what you thought that i should do

You are the only one i know in my life that would really care
Such a good person is hard to find maybe even rare

You are the teacher I wish i could be
But you are more than just a teacher to me
you are my role model cant you see?

When i feel that there is nothing else that I can do
I know that I will always be able to count on you

When i feel the world around me closing in so tight
When i need someone to lead me right

I know life is not easy and it will never be
But i only know that because you told me

I know that i must not give up on everything i dream of
But the only way that I have held on is with that teachers love

This poem is short but sweet and i got out what i wanted to say
Like i said it is not everything that would take all day

But i think that you may understand what you mean to me
you are the teacher that i want to be
you have inspired me

And i will always see you as more than a teacher but as a friend
Someone i know will be there till the end
