Halos Fall

by Sage x3   Mar 6, 2007

Her eyes are tainted,
the same color her nails are painted;
a deep black.
Her stars are falling,
and the voices are calling,
to stab her in the back.

She's slipping away,
and her halo is falling down,
to choke around her neck,
and bring her to the ground;
to tear her down.

Her hands are shaking,
and the deep breaths she's taking,
can't save her now,
She'd love him dearly,
When he's weak and weary,
if only she knew how.

And its tearing her apart,
its ripping at her hollow heart,
laced with disease,
his lips lie with ease,
and he can't keep his promises,
he can't keep up the charades.

And her halo has slipped down to choke her,
the way his lips curve can only provoke her,
so let her sleep,
wrapped in promises no one can keep.
