My Forgotten Fairy Tale

by The Queen of Spades   Mar 6, 2007

Trapped, I've come to be
In the movie of my life
Only there is no shining knight in armor
To rescue me from strife
Neither a plumpy, bright godmother
To wipe my tears away
Or a hooded main in tights
To save the dying day

So I'm stuck between the realms
Living "once upon a time" in sorrow
Hoping one will narrate happy ending
To come around for tomorrow
But until my "ever after" comes
I shall sit here, without wail
Thinking, hoping, praying, wondering
About my forgotten fairy tale

This was really sad and yet really beautiful. Your "ever after" is definitely out there and he'll sweep you right off your feet.

I thought this poem was really nicely written which flowed really well.

Really sad, but beautiful. Sometimes the flow is a little off, but the meaning is so strong it stays really good. So beautiful, you're really talented!

Wonderful "comparison" of sorts, great rhyming, fabulous flow... I loved it.

Wow, reading this i do agree, you made me think, this life is basecly a movie nothing else. it will end no matter a happy end or a sad end, all it matter is it does end one day. nice word and nice poem, i really enjoyed reading it, specially the word MOVIE where you took me to a different world of thinking.
