The Life of Miss Lucy Mae

by Coeur Cassa Sage   Mar 7, 2007

There is a story
Of a girl
She had many lovers
Yes, it's supposed to be plural.
There is a story of a boy
Who liked to play with little boy toys
He grew up
No love in his life
And was yearning like a pup
begging for a treat
Along came the girl
from her sad little world
Holing love would make it better
And soon, they fell in love
Like two naughty angels from above
He thought she was a toy
From when he was a boy
She thought her life was complete
And it would turn up the heat
In her life
But the boy found another
And dumped her
Like her mother did before
She was at home
Alone
Miss Lucy Mae was
In the kitchen
Grieving on her loss
"Is something wrong with me>
Maybe I wasn't meant to be
Or at least, live this long."
Her mother came home
You could tell
She was stoned
And the arguments began
Her mother put her down
As she sat with a frown
Her mom reached for a knife
Said she would take Lucy's life
If she didn't respond
To her question
Her father grieved
While her mom would plead
Not guilty
For Lucy Mae
