Blank White Paper

by Briana xx   Mar 7, 2007

Sitting here with blank white paper,
Stained with my sweet tears,
Memories of the past haunt me,
But I’m trying to devour my fears

This damaged girl has grown up,
And realized the young women,
She is now,
Deserves to be happy

I have a mom, who loves me unconditionally,
Cares for me with all her heart,
I have a best friend, who is always there,
He helps me through my days

I’m alive and young
I’m going to live my life to the fullest
No one will bring me down
And rain on my bright days

So this white paper is no longer blank,
And the only tears staining it,
Are tears of happiness,
To start my brand new life.

Hey hunni! I noticed you are new to Poems and Quotes so welcome! I am glad you are here sharing your poetry with us. I love the positive feeling to this poem. People go through hard times, but it takes a VERY strong person to be able to see past that and as you said, "grow up." That is a sign of maturity. Again, I loved the positive nature of your poem! Nice write hunni.
