Haunted

by Rebecca   Mar 7, 2007

Her face hides away her uneasiness,
Her secret life she hopes she left behind.
Masked by a face of sorrow,
Happiness has not been very easy to find.

Running scared from an evil presence.
Haunted by a faceless creature.
Someone she once loved long ago,
But lost its best loving feature.

She feels its evil everywhere she goes,
Hiding in the darkness, she feels the presence of a clown.
It can smell her fear so easily,
Pulling her down and leaving her to drown.

She feels the horror deep inside her,
The air she breathes in is so stale.
She is stuck in the middle of nowhere,
Like a lifeless, embedded nail.

Sitting in the cold darkness,
She sees the clown mask in the dim moonlight.
Letting out a distant scream,
She has never felt so much silent fright.

Seeing her breath through the air,
The clown lets out a scary growl.
She trembles in silent terror,
This haunting gives off an odor so foul.

It casts a mesmerizing shadow,
That holds her in a sleepy daze.
Pulling her down farther into evil,
Being haunted turns her soul ablaze.
